Behold, the Forest of Bunnyland, my tribute to all things green and leafy (sort of). I've been a fan of this online malarkey for a long time now, and Forest BBS was one of the first things I was involved in (like a cult, they got me at the impressionable age of 16) when the sysops, Smurf and Fluffy, recruited me from Minerva, the other BBS I was bumping up Cable & Wireless's annual profits with. Since then, we've seen Forest 2, based in Bolton, and Forest 3, now on the web. We've seen get togethers of such astronomical proportions that they have led us to be banned from at least 2 hotels in the Bolton area and have given me a nationwide reputation for weird behaviour with traffic cones.
But seriously.....(Stardust swallows three pounds of cheese) the people I've met on Forest are, I hope, going to be friends for life. They've always been there for me and I hope I've done the same for them. I think relationships formed online are altogether more intense whilst being a lot less formal and you can call me a geek (I'm told the first stage to tackling a problem is admitting it) but I wouldn't swap that for anything. I've got adopted parents and everything!
So, even though it's all a bit quiet now and only the diehards are left in chat of a Sunday night, we still manage to get together a couple of times a year. Here are the pictures from these times. Please keep your eyes peeled for more!
